After a car accident in NSW
It is common for the psychological effects of an accident to surface a little later, once the immediate practical matters have settled.
Anxiety about driving, broken sleep, flashbacks, low mood or feeling constantly on edge are common in the weeks after a motor vehicle accident.
The Inner West is compact and well connected, so reaching a nearby appointment by public transport is usually straightforward.
How psychology is funded through CTP
For the first 52 weeks after a motor accident, treatment and care benefits are generally available regardless of who was at fault.
Psychological treatment is funded when it is reasonable and necessary for an injury caused by the accident, and your insurer approves the treatment plan.
For an accepted claim, the CTP insurer usually pays the treating psychologist directly, rather than you paying up front.
Before you enquire, it can help to read How long a CTP claim takes.
