About Motor Accident Psychology NSW
Motor Accident Psychology NSW is an independent directory and plain-English guide for people dealing with the psychological effects of a motor vehicle accident in New South Wales. Its goal is simple: to make it easier to understand how the Compulsory Third Party (CTP) scheme funds psychological treatment, and to help you find a SIRA-experienced psychologist when you are ready.
What we are, and what we are not
We are an information resource and a finder. We are not a psychology practice, we do not provide treatment, and we are not a legal or crisis service. We are not SIRA, icare, or any insurer, and we are not affiliated with any practitioner listed. We do not make decisions about your claim or your funding. Those decisions rest with your insurer, your GP, and your treating psychologist.
How the directory is put together
Every psychologist listed is a real, publicly-listed practitioner in NSW. We show name, suburb, and discipline only. We do not publish practitioner phone numbers, websites, or other contact details. We describe a practitioner as a "clinical psychologist" only where an AHPRA clinical-psychology endorsement has been confirmed; otherwise we use "registered psychologist", which is the correct protected title for an AHPRA-registered psychologist. We do not publish ratings or reviews, and we make no claims about the quality or outcomes of any practitioner's work.
Because motor accident (CTP) work is arranged practitioner by practitioner, we ask you to confirm that a psychologist accepts CTP clients when you contact them. You can also check any practitioner's registration at ahpra.gov.au.
How the "find a psychologist" service works
When you ask us to help, we use the details you provide to help connect you with a SIRA-experienced psychologist in NSW. It is free to use, there is no obligation, and there is no cost to you. See our privacy policy for how your information is handled.
